Staff Qualifications
Wonderspring staff not only have a passion for working with children but are highly qualified for their positions.
Center Directors Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education (ECE), and at least three years of center management experience.
Assistant Directors a minimum of an Associate’s degree in ECE (Bachelor’s or Masters preferred) and at least three years of equivalent experience
PreK Counts Lead Teacher: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education (ECE), PreK to 4th or N-3rd grade Pennsylvania teaching certification and at least two years equivalent experience.
Site Supervisor for Out of School Time Programs: Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education or related field in Human Services or unrelated field with 30 college credits in Education. Minimum of two years of experience working with children, preferably school age. Supervisory experience preferred
Lead Teacher/Group Supervisor: Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education (ECE), or a degree in a related area of study with 18 credits in ECE in addition to one year teaching experience in childcare.
Assistant Teacher/Assistant Group Supervisor: Child Development Associate (CDA) certification or Associate’s degree. High School diploma/GED and two years paid experience working with children
Additionally, all Wonderspring employees have a current criminal record check, child abuse clearance, FBI clearance, NSOR clearance and an updated health screening with TB test results, relevant work experience and at least two written references from a previous employer.
