Our Keystone STAR 4 preschool program implements Teaching Strategies’ The Creative Curriculum an evidenced-based curriculum that taps into the natural curiosity of children and creates a life-long love of learning. The curriculum follows an age-appropriate, project based lesson plan and provides teachers with an observation tool so they can fully support each child’s individual learning and communicate any successes and challenges with parents. Daily activities include reading, circle time, outdoor play, and hands-on educational activities that create a balance of learning and play for students. The preschool program at Wonderspring Powelton Village also uses the Second Step Social/Emotional Curriculum, which helps children better understand, manage, and express emotions and empathy, develop positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.
Tuition-free Preschool
To ensure all children have access to high-quality early education, the Powelton Village Center offers both PHLpreK and Pre-K Counts, which are both tuition-free preschool programs. We also accept ELRC subsidy.
