Edward P. Trainor elected as MELC’s Board President

Montgomery Early Learning Centers (MELC), devoted to providing high quality early childhood education and school age programs in the Philadelphia region, is pleased to announce the recent election of Edward P. Trainor as the organization’s Board of Directors President. Ed succeeds John Ungar in this Board leadership role.

So many professionals and volunteers contribute their time and talents, and I look forward to continue working with all of them to carry out the mission of Montgomery Early Learning Centers.”
Ed is both a locally and nationally recognized Principal in the Advisory practice and Business Valuation Services group at Deloitte LLP. With over 20 years’ professional experience, he advises many leading multi-national clients and management teams, providing valuation fair value consultations for merger & acquisitions, financial reporting, strategic planning, tax planning, dispute resolution and other various matters.
Previously on the Montgomery Early Learning Centers Board of Directors, Ed served as Chair of the Finance committee and a member of the executive board. As a valued partner and trusted advisor to the CEO and other board members, Ed will provide strategic governance to the organization and evaluate the organization’s impact and performance as Board President. He brings a wealth of experience and will play a key role as MELC continues to execute its vision to provide high quality educational programs to all children and families within the Greater Philadelphia region.
