At Wonderspring, our mission is to develop, provide and advocate for high quality early childhood education, school age programs, and related services in support of all children and families.
In celebration of the Week of the Young Child (April 20-24), Dr. Janet Samuels, the superintendent of Norristown School District, will be reading to the children of Montgomery Early Learning Centers on Thursday, April 23rd at 11am. In addition, a representative from the office of Senator Daylin Leach, 17th District (D – Montgomery/Delaware), will be on hand to read.
MELC has received the “Best Place to Work” award from the Delaware Valley Association for the Education of Young Children (DVAEYC). The organization was recognized at the annual Early Childhood conference hosted by DVAEYC on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. DVAEYC bestowed the award during the morning plenary session beginning at 9 a.m. and featured a keynote address by Dr. Heidi Ramirez, Director of the Urban Education Collaborative at Temple University and a member of the Philadelphia School Reform Commission.
The preschool class at our Norristown Center wrote this song to thank Rosie O’Donnell’s For All Kids Foundation for supporting our programs. They really hope Rosie will come to visit them so that they can thank her in person as well!
Congratulations to our Whitemarsh School Based Program in Colonial school district and our Cynwyd School Based Program in Lower Merion school district who both received accreditation from the National Afterschool Association.
