About

Wonderspring is a nonprofit provider of high-quality early childhood education and school-age care serving families in Philadelphia, Montgomery and Delaware Counties. Our mission is to provide pathways to quality education for children.

Our vision is to ensure all children have equitable access to high-quality education led by trusted professionals that engages families and has a measurable impact on lifelong success.

Our organizational values are Safety, Quality, Caring, Fun and Belonging.

Wonderspring programs offer a safe and nurturing environment, qualified staff, and age appropriate curriculum to encourage learning, development, and growth during the most important years of a child’s life. Our commitment to excellence is nationally recognized by multiple agencies including: NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children), NAA (National Afterschool Association) and COA (Council on Accreditation). In addition, all of our early childhood and school age centers have achieved a STAR 4 rating (out of 4) in Pennsylvania’s Keystone STARS program. This program rates quality based on staff education, learning environment, leadership and management, and family and community partnerships.

Early Childhood Education (ECE) programs are comprised of infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-k classrooms including Early Head Start and Pre-K Counts to ensure kindergarten readiness for every child. School Age programs provide before and after school care to children in the Colonial and Pottstown school districts.

Wonderspring celebrates the wide array of culture, ethnicity, history and experience of our children, families and staff. We believe that our organization is strengthened and enriched by our diversity. We aim to create an inclusive and equitable environment for learning and working where everyone feels welcomed, valued and respected.

Our History

Founded in 1964 as the Day Care Association of Montgomery County, Wonderspring is a regional leader in providing families throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania with affordable, high quality educational environments. What began as one small site in Ambler, PA to address unmet needs for child care locally, has grown to serve children and families in Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.

Our Partnerships

To ensure we are meeting the needs of all children, we develop and maintain partnerships with organizations that assist us in providing the highest quality care and learning.
