This year’s conference will focus on transformational approaches that address the documented barriers that classroom and OST programs experience in trying to implement quality S.T.E.A.M.-related curriculum and resources. Attendees will participate in hands-on activities that build inquiry and exploration.
We are pleased to announce our keynote speaker, Nalo Washington.
Ms. Washington holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Howard University and a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from American Intercontinental University. With a passion for Math and Science since she was young, Ms. Washington has a breadth and depth of experience in the field of education as a science resource specialist with the District of Columbia Public Schools, and as an instructor for the Starbase-Atlantis program (a STEM outreach program) offered through the Department of Defense/Department of the Navy to 5th grade students. She interacts with children as a Lefo League First Robotics Coach for Robert Goddard French Immersion School in Lanham, Maryland. Ms. Washington strongly believes that STEM is the wave of the future and works to continue developing that passion in the youth of today.
